IMPORTANT NOTE: Where required by applicable rules, laws or regulations, users of the Service are required to post an appropriate privacy policy that shall provide adequate notice, where required, of the use of cookies that are used to collect data through any use of the KODICI services.

URL INFORMATION

At the heart of KODICI's services is the creation of a shortened link to websites ("Links") as specified by You. When You create such a Link, following Your instructions, We collect and store the following:

  • The original URL and the shortened URL.
  • Your IP address
  • The time and date you shortened the original URL
  • Which user (according to their account) performed the action.
  • When you share your shortened URL through the platform, we also store the information on the channels such as Facebook and X through which the KODICI Link was shared.

METRICS AND ANALYSIS

KODICI collects information about accesses (such as clicks) of each shortened link created through our services. This information includes, but is not limited to:

  • The IP address and corresponding registered location of the devices accessing the Link created (limited to country and city only);
  • Any reference sites or services; and
  • The time and date of each access and the browsers and language preferences.

This information is used by KODICI and its partners to provide the Services you have chosen. We also use this information to further improve the Service and the products available to you.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Some features of the Services allow you to share your content and Links created through your accounts with other companies, such as Facebook and X. If you choose to connect KODICI to these third-party services, we may collect information related to your use of these third-party services, such as authentication tokens and other information that allows us to connect to your third-party service accounts. We will ask for your consent before you authorize us to collect this information. We will only use this information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us. We may also collect information about how you are using the Services to interact with connected third-party services. Please note that third party services may have the ability to restrict the information that is provided to us based on your privacy settings for that account.

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

KODICI automatically receives and records information from your browser when you interact with the Services (including creating or clicking on Links), such as your IP address, browser type, your general location and cookie information. This information may be used to help us understand how users move around a website, to combat spam/malware and other forms of abuse, to facilitate the collection of data relating to your interaction with the Services (for example, which KODICI links you clicked on) and for other similar purposes.

KODICI also automatically receives and records information that your mobile device transmits when you access the Services, such as device identifier, device settings and operating system. This information is used to facilitate your access to and use of the Services, to access and use other Third Party Services and for other similar purposes.

Generally, the Services automatically collect site usage information, such as the number and frequency of visitors to the Site. KODICI may use this data in aggregate form, i.e. as a statistical measure. This type of aggregate data allows us and third parties authorized by us to find out how often individuals use parts of the Site so that we can analyze and improve them.

We will collect information about your general location (such as your city and state, which is derived from your IP address) when you visit the Site or use the Services, such as when you click on a Link, and we may use various technologies to determine your location (if you enable this feature) when you access and use the Services through a mobile device.

COOKIES INCLUDED IN THE LINKS PROVIDED BY KODICI

We collect http header information and remote IP addresses as available. This information is limited to publicly provided details as available in any web server logs. KODICI's services typically require the use of cookies. These cookies allow KODICI, on behalf of our service users, to track the various clicks on a Link created as provided by KODICI. Each click of a Link is tracked using a unique identifier assigned to you in one or more cookies stored by your web browser and associated with KODICI. We may associate the unique identifier in our cookies with the other information we automatically collect when you use the Services, as described above, including your IP address, Links you click, Links you create and information about your Account, if you have one.

Most browsers have an option to disable the cookies feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on the acceptance of each new cookie in various ways. If you disable cookies, you will not be able to use some features of the Services. KODICI cookies are set to expire automatically after 6 months from when they were set.

You can also ask KODICI not to place cookies in your web browser. When cookies are disabled in this way, clicks on KODICI Links are not linked or associated with your web browser. However, we still automatically collect the IP addresses of computers or mobile devices that click on or create KODICI Links.

We may receive a confirmation when you open an e-mail from us. We use this confirmation to improve our customer service.
